Lotus Notes Error: “Unable to interpret time or date” when changing manager of room In Resource Reservations database
As an Lotus Notes administrator, you attempt to change the manager of a room in the Resource Reservations database. However, you receive the error : Unable to interpret time or date
This error can also occur when creating a new room in the Resource Reservations database.
In this case, the problem was due to Windows Regional settings for the AM and PM symbols that include periods ( “.” ) in the “a.m.” and “p.m.” designations. For example, this is common with the Spanish Regional setting. Using a regional setting without this character resolves the problem.
TO CHANGE THE REGIONAL SETTINGS
1. From the Windows Task Bar, click Start and select Settings, Control Panel.
2. Double-click Regional Options.
3. Select the Time tab.
4. Change the AM Symbol from “a.m.” to “AM”
5. Change the PM Symbol from “p.m.” to “PM”
